Hello Fellow Fitness Junkies!

Amanda and Brit here! We are the founders of PULSE PUMP PRANA; a team focused on creating balance through physical fitness, mental health, emotional well-being and spiritual growth. We’d like to share our story with you:

About Amanda:

Until recently, I had been traveling abroad for 8 years living mostly in Asia and Germany. During my travels, I was studying Health Coaching/Nutrition, Yoga and Pilates. Now that I’ve returned to Toronto, I’ve continued my training with STOTT Reformer Pilates. I’ve always been interested in movement and exercise. I had danced when I was younger and keeping fit has always been a priority while working in the modelling industry. I am so fascinated with the body and mind; from the mechanics to the functionality and what we can learn from our strengths and limitations. The mind is so powerful in it’s ability to affect our physical performance and we need to realize that we are not just this body. We are living in this body and we have the ability to achieve anything when we use the two in perfect tandem.

 

About Brit:

I started on my self improvement journey many years ago when I moved to Hong Kong, and I really had learned so much about myself. I then moved to Bali and that’s when my journey within really took off! I started to take care of myself more than I ever had before. I began to let go of the things that no longer served me and instead focused on the things that did. We all know that the most important things in life are our health, happiness, family, friends and giving back but we tend to lose sight of them from time to time. During my travels, I studied Personal Training, Yoga, Reiki Energy Healing, Nutrition and Health Coaching. Each and every day, I continue to grow and I am so very excited to be back in Canada and that I can share all that I have learned with you!

About PULSE PUMP PRANA:

We teach many classes all over Toronto and aim to spread as much knowledge, inspiration and motivation to as many people as we can while continuing to educate ourselves and learn at every opportunity. We started PULSE PUMP PRANA to build a community and bring together anyone devoted to bettering their health and fitness levels. Whether you’re a beginner or intermediate, there is a place for you. We teach a mixture of Pilates, HIIT (high intensity interval training) and Yoga. We believe that this combination and precise order is the best formula for the most well-balanced workout there is! We teach Pilates first to establish proper breathing, muscle activation, skeletal stabilization and engagement of the core. We then move on to the HIIT workout which is amazing for getting your heart rate up, building strength and endurance and afterwards keeping you in a fat burning zone for up to 48 hours! Last but not least we move on to some soft yogic stretching and standing postures to open and release any tension in the body. Yogic stretching is a form of fascial stretch and release to help lengthen tight and inflamed muscles and tissue. We end with a mediation in Savasana “Corpse Pose” to let the body absorb all of the movement as your energy (Prana) flows effortlessly through your body where you may have had blockages before. This is our goal. To create total body awareness through mind and movement.

We want to help guide you in the growth of your knowledge of health and fitness from a holistic viewpoint where you can search within to create the best version of yourself. We absolutely love to teach our donation-based park classes and soon we will also be hosting wellness workshops and destination retreats to better accommodate everyone at every price point. We want to provide you with an on-the-go wellness utopia because we eat, sleep, live and breathe health and fitness and we can’t wait to continue on this journey with all of you!
